Coorg is a district and a small hill station in the state of Karnataka. It is on the slopes of western ghats and is also called ” Kodagu”. It is a beautiful place with coffee and many different spice plantations. Coorg is the largest producer of coffee in Karnataka. It is a hilly area with greenery all around.

We went in the month of June last year from Bangalore and stayed in a homestay called,” Honeypot homes”.  It is a beautiful homestay in midst of coffee and spice plantations. There are beautiful cottages which give you a jungle feel.

There are beautiful coffee plantations and spice plantations such as Cardamom, Vanilla, Pepper etc. and they take you for a tour to the full plantation and my kids loved the tour. You can get full information here – www.honeypothomes.com.

It gets really foggy at times and it’s best to go in the morning to experience the beauty.  It is the birthplace of river Kaveri and it is located in Brahmagiri hills. There are two temples – Shiva temple and a lord Ganesha temple.
