- FOR THE DOUGH
- 1 cupMaida
- 1tbspSooji (Semolina)
- ½tspBaking soda
- 1tbspGhee
- 1- 2 tbsp Milk
- MIXTURE INGREDIENTS
- ¼ cup Desiccated Coconut
- 1cup mawa/khoya
- ¼ cup powderedSugar
- 2 tbsp Milk
- 10-12 Raisins/Almonds/Pistas/cashews
- 2 tsp green cardamom pwdr.
- Gujiya dough-
- Take all the ingredients needed for gujiya dough.
- In a bowl combine all the ingredients.
- Knead a dough.
- Keep it covered with a cloth for 30 minutes.
- Gujiya mixture –
- Take mawa and coconut and roast it till brown.
- Take all the dry fruits separately and dry roast, grind and add this mixture in the mawa and coconut mixture.
- Add sugar and milk and cook for some time.
- The mixture should be wet and moist but easy to roll into balls.
- Gujiya preparation –
- Make small balls out of the dough and roll out in the size of puris.
- Fill in the mixture and seal it properly by applying water on the edges.
- You can also seal the edges with the help of fork by pressing it lightly on the edges.
- Deep fry them in the oil.
