My parents always used to stress the value of gratitude. They taught us to be thankful for everything in life, especially, as kids, when I and my siblings used to get upset about not getting something.

I didn’t understand its value earlier but understood it after a lot of life-changing incidents. Sometimes, you need to go through some things in life to understand its meaning.

It’s important to show gratitude as silent gratitude is of no use. How will someone know what you are feeling if you don’t say it?

Let others know that you are thankful for their help, their kindness, their concern, their love, their care or just for being there when you needed them.

Show your gratitude and you will see a difference. A small thing like a thank you note can make a big difference.

If you are thankful for somebody, say it,

They might not be around later to know it.

If you are thankful for something, show it,

It might not be there with you always.

If you are thankful for someone’s love, say it.

They might not know what you are feeling.

If you are thankful for everything you have, count your blessings.

As thankfulness attracts more things in life to be thankful for.

As they say, “There is always something to be thankful for.” Why not start today? Start with something small and simple like cooking a special meal for a loved one, taking your family out for a movie, or just spending time with the loved ones.

Do you think it’s important to show gratitude? Let us know why?
