I am a big fan of different types of chutneys and also a big fan of an electric chopper. Chutney helps to make any kind of food yummy and tangy or in other words, brings even a simple meal to life. The same way a chopper is helpful as it helps to do small chores like chopping onion, vegetables or even make smoothies and shakes.

I recently tried tomato chutney in my Preethi turbo chop and it came out perfect. Before we go on the recipe, let me share the 5 chutneys which can be made in Preethi turbo chop. The best part is that you don’t have to use a grinder if you are making a small quantity of chutney.

5 Types of chutney which you can make in Preethi turbo chop

Coriander chutney/Mint chutney –

A simple and yummy chutney with coriander leaves, onion, ginger, garlic, and lemon. Chop and wash all the ingredients and simply grind in the chopper. It is the good old chutney which is used in sandwiches, burgers and with dahi vadas and other common snacks. Mint and coriander chutney is similar to coriander chutney and the only additional ingredient is mint and in summers I make sure to add raw mango to give the tangy taste. It is good for digestion too as mint and ginger have digestive properties. This is spicy and refreshing chutney and you can even add curds to it for a variation.

Coconut chutney –

I normally make coconut chutney in my grinder. So, I was not sure how it will come out in the chopper. But I was pleasantly surprised as the coconut chutney came out perfect too. The one tip to make coconut chutney – Try chopping coconut in small pieces so that it grinds perfectly.

Dates and Jaggery chutney –

This is one of my favourite chutney which is sweet and tangy in taste. This can be easily made in the chopper as dates and jaggery are cooked in cooker. I shared the recipe a few days back. You can find the recipe here.

Mango chutney –

There are different types of mango chutneys which you can make it in this chopper. I tried raw mango and baby onion chutney and the latest one was sweet and sour mango chutney which my mom used to make. For sweet and sour mango chutney, you don’t need chopper as such as it is mainly cooked on the gas but I used the chopper to chop mangoes and it made my work much simpler.

Tomato onion chutney –

Last but not least, our tomato chutney which is my family’s favourite and I am sharing the recipe today. There are different versions of this tomato chutney and you can skip onions and use only tomatoes. It tastes equally good.
