Holi Special Recipes – Easy Rice Phirni

- Milk – 1 litre
- Rice powder – ½ cup
- Sugar – according to taste
- Dryfruits for decoration
- Take a pan and boil milk. Once it comes to boil, add rice powder.
- Make sure you mix it slowly and not all at once to avoid any lumps.
- Keep mixing until the rice powder is completely mixed in the milk.
- Cook the mixture for few more minutes till it thickens.
- Now add sugar and cook for a minute or more.
- Switch off the gas and let it cool. Now add it to the phirni special bowls and keep it in the refrigerator for at least 3-4 hrs or overnight to chill.
- Enjoy chilled phirni this Holi with your family and friends.
You can add food colour to give it a yellow look how you get in the market.
You can add rice in milk and mix them in blender beforehand too instead of mixing later once milk boils.
I used ready-made rice flour from the market. You can even make it at home by grinding rice at home.
