Holi Special Recipes – Easy Rice Phirni

Rice phirni with just 3 ingredients is a yummy and quick recipe.
  • Milk – 1 litre
  • Rice powder – ½ cup
  • Sugar – according to taste
  • Dryfruits for decoration
  1. Take a pan and boil milk. Once it comes to boil, add rice powder.
  2. Make sure you mix it slowly and not all at once to avoid any lumps.
  3. Keep mixing until the rice powder is completely mixed in the milk.
  4. Cook the mixture for few more minutes till it thickens.
  5. Now add sugar and cook for a minute or more.
  6. Switch off the gas and let it cool. Now add it to the phirni special bowls and keep it in the refrigerator for at least 3-4 hrs or overnight to chill.
  7. Enjoy chilled phirni this Holi with your family and friends.
You can add food colour to give it a yellow look how you get in the market.

You can add rice in milk and mix them in blender beforehand too instead of mixing later once milk boils.

I used ready-made rice flour from the market. You can even make it at home by grinding rice at home.
