I recently got an invite to the National Cradle Conference 2019 in Bangalore. Apollo Cradle, India’s leading hospital network for Women and Children along with Apollo Fertility hosted the National Cradle Conference 2019 at Bangalore on 26th, 27th & 28th of July. Many delegates from all over the world attended the conference. Apollo cradle and fertility announced new initiatives to address the country’s growing requirements. Ms. Sangita Reddy, Joint Managing director, Apollo Hospitals Group and Mr. Anubhav Prashant, COO, Apollo Cradle, and Apollo Fertility addressed the press conference after the announcements.

Three main announcements were made at the conference related to maternity, fertility and fashion line for moms.

The first pioneer initiative is the setting up of the first integrated neonatal care unit (eNICU) command center at Hyderabad. eNICU is a first of its kind initiative by Apollo hospitals and it targets to address the issues of neonatal centers in India.

To address growing fertility issues, they launched Apollo Androcare- The first dedicated male fertility campaign. They have also plan to set up centers of excellence for fertility across metros and expand Apollo fertility chain across Tier, 1, 2 and 3.

Rina Dhaka for Apollo Cradle is the third initiative which was launched during this conference. It is first of its kind collaboration by Apollo Cradle with designer Rina Dhaka. This is to launch an exclusive maternity wear line for expectant and new moms.

The new maternity clothing line combines functionality with fashion and comfort. It is designed as a go-to maternity clothing and features everyday essentials in soft, luxurious feeling, sustainable fabric, and knits. It was nice to see Rina launching her collection with young model mothers.  They walked the ramp to unveil the collection.

At the press conference, Rina shared about new maternity clothing line, “I always wanted to design a maternity wear line. Not only did I myself grapple with finding good clothes as a young mother 20 years ago but over the years, despite the growing range of maternity clothing available in the market, I have seen, young mothers still unable to find a ready to wear range of maternity clothing that can easily slip into and be comfortable.

A s a mom myself, I could relate to her words. It was a struggle to find good maternity clothes a few years back. So, It’s good to see a dedicated range of maternity range for expectant and new moms. I am sure it will be really helpful for new moms.

Good to know about these new initiatives by Apollo Cradle and Apollo Fertility which is India’s leading healthcare destination for women and children.
