Kerala Backwaters and houseboat at Kerala
Among the most visited backwaters destinations in Kerala, Alleppey and Kumarakom are the two main places. We wanted this trip to be only for Backwaters and didn’t want to run around. So, we planned to see Alleppey and Kumarakom to experience its real beauty.
DAY 2 HOUSEBOAT AT KERALA EXPERIENCE-
There were many houseboats lined up just behind Ramada and we could choose according to our need and requirements. They have different trips with different timings like for 5 hours, 7 hours, or 12 hours in which you can stay in houseboat during the night too. We took a 5-hour trip in which they provided a welcome drink, Lunch and evening snacks.
I don’t think this kind of experience is there at any other tourist place. The houseboat ride is completely mesmerizing. These houseboats have all the essential amenities inside like a hotel. They are like a floating hotel as it has well-furnished bedrooms, kitchen, toilets, balconies, etc. If you are with your family, you will cherish the most amazing time with family members under nature’s lap. You must visit Kerala and the backwaters once in your life as this kind of experience you will not find anywhere else.
I will be sharing with you all our experience of another beautiful place -Kumarakom in next post.

Whoa! Great pics. I’ve heard rave reviews of the lunch in a houseboat. Couldn’t experience even though I hail from the same place. Next time.
Looking forward to read more of your journey. 🙂

Kerala is favourite location, I have always liked the backwaters, coconut tress, their white dressing codes and language. To me Kerala always brings sweet memories and super tasty fish. You seem to have had a great trip Deepa..
