Its summer vacation time and when kids are at home, running to stores for grocery and essentials is the last thing on my mind. I also try to stock up things at my home and I have one less thing to worry. Already there are hundred other things to run around with kids in holidays.
Holidays also mean a lot of guests at home. I don’t like running to stores for essentials when guests are there and we run out of something. Thankfully, we have the home delivery option and I normally order last minute things from there and they deliver in maximum half an hour.
Another thing which we all hate in the holidays is getting sick. I try to keep my house clean and make sure to disinfect it to avoid any health problems for my family. In holidays, we need to take extra care as with guests and kids playing outside, germs make a way inside too. I am sure you worry about how to disinfect your home too.
How do I keep my house clean and disinfected?
I have a magic product in the form of disinfectant wipes which help me to keep everything not only clean but safe. Also, I get many packs at a time and keep it not only in the bathrooms and rooms but also in the kitchen. Especially kid’s room is a place where I do keep it to clean all the mess they create. The best part is that these wipes not only clean but disinfect too and when I use them I know that 99.9% germs which cause different health issues are also killed.
As a mom, I always carry stuff like sanitisers and wipes with me. I do not worry when I know my home is safe and clean for my kids. I prefer the wipes for general cleaning too as paper towels and liquid cleaners are not something which can disinfect the surfaces properly. My younger one used to complain of stomach pain when she was small and mostly it was always because of a stomach infection. As babies everything goes in the mouth and from dirty hands, the infection spreads to stomach. Wipes can be used to keep all the surfaces clean and safe with babies and small kids. It’s a great way to disinfect your home. And moms don’t have to worry about them getting sick.
Different areas of the house where I use them are-
- Kitchen sink and countertops
- Refrigerator cleaning
- Dishwasher
- Microwave
- Dining table
- Bathroom door handles
- Kids room table, door handles, and toys.
- Bathroom taps and toilet seats
How I use these wipes outside the house?
We also use it in our car and it’s really useful when going on a family holiday. On our recent holiday, my younger one spilled some juice in the car. And these came handy and I was happy that these disinfect too. With kids at home, cold, fever or any such illnesses are the last thing I want to welcome in my house. I know we can be protected 100% but we can try.
How I use it for skin?
Multi-use wipes also provide protection from germs for your skin and surfaces, anytime and anywhere. They are good for the skin and do not make skin rough or dry. Whenever you or your kids instant clean up, these can be used to give smooth skin. I do carry the wipes while going out too. These can protect kids from germs at places like buses, restaurants or also in hotel rooms.
Also, the wipes have good smell and not very strong. One time cleaning with the wipes can leave the house smelling good too. It’s a great way to disinfect your home.
So that’s how I use my disinfecting wipes to keep my house germ-free, clean and smelling good and fresh. In a few days, we will be getting ready for back to school and till then I want them to enjoy their holidays happily by staying healthy.
Are you keeping your family germ-free, safe, healthy and happy?

Great tip, Deepa. These disinfectant wipes seem really convenient and a great way to maintain overall cleanliness. I must get myself some. Particularly like the fact that they are gentle on skin.

keeping he home germ free is very important if you have little kids – my son is always rolling on the floor. I make it a point to get the floor mopped twice a day with disinfectant. And I am always travelling with a sanitizer

Yes it is very important with small kids as they pop everything in their mouth from the floor. Thanks Tina 🙂

This post is so timely. I just introduced my daughter to disinfectant wipes for her to use to clean low level areas in the house. She’s then told me that began to say a slogan from a cleaning company that she heard on a commercial. It was so funny. Disinfectant wipes are a god-sent. Thanks.

I could definitely use some of these disinfecting wipes at home and at work. Especially with how many sick people come in to work I could use that to clean spaces in the library.

I love disinfectant wipes. That’s a great idea for hotel rooms. I always pack my disinfectant spray but wipes would be even better for packing.
