Dubai is one of the most preferred tourist destinations. We recently travelled to this beautiful city in UAE. There are so many places to see that it’s not possible to cover everything even in a week. But I will share a list of places you must visit on your Dubai trip. It was one of the most memorable family trips for us. In this post, you will find Dubai places to see and things to enjoy in 2024.

I am sharing according to my itinerary. It was 5 day and 6-night trip. It should be enough for you to cover all the major tourist destinations.

Best time to visit Dubai –

We went to Dubai in October but the best time to visit is from November to March. Although the weather starts getting better from October onwards, it’s better to plan a trip in November and December as you can get to enjoy many fun activities too. For example, the Dubai shopping festival, food festival, etc.

Dubai places to visit

Dubai places to visit –

Dubai Frame

The first place we saw on our trip was this beautiful tall frame. You can cover it in a maximum of an hour provided there are no long lines or you visit on a non-peak time or a weekday. We went in the afternoon and there was not much rush. Dubai Frame is an observatory and a museum that shows you two sides of Dubai. On one side, you can see old Dubai, and on the other, the new Dubai. The views are beautiful from the top of the frame.

Ticket price – AED 50 for adults, AED 20 for kids, and free for infants 0-3 yrs.

After we visited Dubai frame, we went for lunch at Burjaman Mall which is in old Dubai and just next to an area where mostly Indians and Pakistanis live. As suggested by a friend, we went to see Meena Bazaar which is famous for Indian and Pakistani restaurants, clothes, and jewellery. We didn’t buy anything there but took a walk around the area to get a feel of the place.

Dubai Gold Souk

We heard a lot about this place, so we were excited to visit it. Here you will find thousands of jewellery shows selling gold, silver, and other jewellery items. Although we did not buy any gold we did not find any major difference in price from India especially if you are looking for a small piece of jewellery. Also, I found the designs a little old but if you are looking to buy bulk amounts, then it is worth buying, and purity is good.

It is famous for spices too. We bought saffron and other spices from this market for our family and us. Overall, it’s an interesting place to visit even if you don’t want to buy gold.

Burj Khalifa –

After Dubai Souk, we went back to rest a little as we had booked tickets to visit Burj Khalifa at night. We wanted to see the night view and that’s why we had a booking for 8 pm. Burj Khalifa is the world’s tallest building and a skyscraper. It is one of the famous attractions for tourists in Dubai. As it was a weekend, the lines were pretty long even after pre-booking the tickets. There is also a fast-track entry that lets you go inside faster than normal lines.

The elevator takes you to the 124th floor which is the observation deck. The view was spectacular from there. We spent some time on the top of Burj Khalifa and came down and had our dinner in the famous Dubai mall. Burj Khalifa is just next to the Dubai Mall and the famous Dubai Fountain. So, you can plan all three things on the same day.

Check out this post to plan a Dubai trip effortlessly.

The Dubai Fountain

The Dubai Fountain is located just outside the Dubai Mall and below the Burj Khalifa in downtown Dubai. It is a beautiful water fountain show with melodious tunes. It is the world’s tallest performing fountain. The timings are between 5.45 pm and 11 pm. You can see it when you are planning to visit the Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa. It is located on the 30-acre Burj Lake.

The next day we planned for some shopping in the morning and that’s why came back to the Dubai mall.

The Dubai Mall –

It is the second-largest mall in the world and it’s so big that you can’t cover the whole mall in one day. We explored the mall and did some shopping. You will find all the high-end luxury brands in this mall. There is a slight difference in price from India and if you are looking for some branded clothes, shoes, or handbags, you can compare the price and buy it.

The mall has more than 1200 retail outlets and more than 200 international dining options. Along with this, there are many fun and entertainment options like a sea aquarium for you and your family.

We did not go to the sea aquarium as we already saw it in Singapore but it’s a must-visit if you are travelling with young kids. Dubai Sea Aquarium and the underwater zoo have many aquatic animals and the ticket price is 145 AED which covers all the activities inside.

In the evening we went on a Desert safari.

Desert safari –

It is one of the best ways to explore the desert and the activities around it in Dubai. There are different options for you to choose from, for example, overnight desert safari that starts at sunset and goes on till sunrise, Desert safari with barbeque dinner, evening desert safari, etc.

The one we chose was a desert safari with dinner and a show. After the camel ride and dune safari, we went for the show and dinner. It was a package deal and we pre-booked it through a friend. The best part was the dance performances and fire show by local artists.

The next day we covered the new addition to the tourist attractions in Dubai- The Museum of the Future and explored the Mall of Emirates for some electronics shopping.

Museum of the Future –

This is a newly opened attraction in Dubai. I have been looking forward to visiting it since the time it opened. It’s a really beautiful building from the outside and worth a visit. The museum is all about depicting what could be in the future. There are 3 levels with different concepts. It’s a must-visit with kids as there is a lot of science-related stuff. You must pre-book the tickets and there is a high demand, especially during the holiday season. It will take you approximately 2-3 hours to see the museum and all the activities there.

The ticket price is 145 AED and free for kids below 3 years.

After the Museum of the Future, we went toward Atlantis the Palm. We just saw it from outside and took a walk to see the view of the beautiful Marina from Palm Jumeirah.

After this, we went for Dinner at a place called the Pointe. It is a place which is just across the bay from the Atlantis with many good restaurants and places of entertainment.

Dubai Marina –

One evening we explored the Dubai Marina which is a collection of Marina beaches where you can try a speed boat or book a dinner cruise. Along with this, you can take a walk at the beachfront paved walk away. It has many good restaurants and the view is spectacular. After our thrilling speed boat ride, we tried Arabic and Lebanese food at one of the beachside restaurants.

Dubai has many more such beautiful tourist places to visit and explore. Along with the Dubai places to visit and see, there are many good shopping places. We also explored the outlet mall where you can find outlet stores of many big brands.

Since we went in early October, many famous places have been closed like Dubai Miracle Garden and Global Village. If you are visiting between November and March, you must check out these too.

We loved our holiday in Dubai. If you have any questions about Dubai places to visit, please ask them in the comments below.
