I love travelling and every few months I and my husband pack our bags to explore new places. A few days back we went to Munnar in Kerala. A detailed post on Munnar coming up soon. Sometimes it’s not easy to take a long break and most of us look out for weekend getaways. There are many resorts in and around Bangalore to relax in the lapse of nature. Today I am sharing 5 resorts to visit with kids and family from my list.
Resorts in Bangalore for family –
Guhantra resort –
We went to Guhantra resort last year with family and friends. We took the special full day package option which included breakfast, lunch, and evening snacks. There are many activities for kids.
Features-
Indoor games like Table Tennis, Carom, Chess, and dart etc. There is a swimming pool and rain dance with DJ.My kids enjoyed outdoor games like Beach volleyball, cycling, and tug of war, Bow & Arrow, Kite flying and Caterpillar etc. The best part is its ambiance. We loved the whole look with the whole set up inside a big cave.
They also have an option of staying at night and there are different packages to book rooms.
Golden palms resort-
Our daughters loved the food here and they have an option of full-day packages too.
Features-
Swimming pool, corporate packages where they plan many different activities, indoor games such as table tennis, billiards, snooker, chess, carom, outdoor games like badminton, cricket, and football and water volleyball.
It is a premium resort with a great Sunday brunch. If you are busy and cannot take out time for a long holiday, Do visit golden palms on a Sunday for a relaxed outing and yummy food. Also read Bangalore to Antara Gange
Native village-
We all want a break from the hustle bustle of the city to relax in the lapse of nature. Nature village is the best place to relax if you are looking for something different. It is different from other resorts and has that old-school charm.
Features-
Games like kite flying, bullock cart ride, lagori, pottery, gilli danda, cycling, and rangoli etc.
Its ambiance is what makes it different. It has a whole village like ambiance.
The windflower prakruthi-
Another premium resort with good food and good and well-maintained rooms and ambiance. The breakfast and lunch spread is quite impressive.
Features-
Indoor games like chess, carom and outside games like cricket. Swimming pool to relax. A variety of adventure games such as BMX challenge, paintball, zorbing, and ATV rides.
It has beautiful cottages to stay with the eco-friendly look.
Wonderla resort-
I am sure anyone with kids will be familiar with Wonderla. Not many are familiar with its beautiful resort. We do visit Wonderla amusement park every summer vacations and once we stayed at the resort too. Kids loved it and the best part is you can enjoy the rides and then relax at the resort.
Features-
It is kid friendly with luxury rooms and good food. They have options for deluxe rooms, suites and executive rooms. They also have an option of a combo offer with amusement park visit.
Hope you find this list of resorts in Bangalore helpful.

It has been 2 and a half years since we moved to Bangalore and Wonderla has been on our cards for a long time now. Hope to tick it off soon. The other get-away out of the 5 get-aways listed above, I would be interested in would be the Native village.

And to think that when we were growing up Bangalore itself was considered a great place to holiday!!! I’ve been to Windflower Prakriti for a wedding and quite frankly found the road there very spooky . It is quite out of the way and untraceable on GPS. Of course once inside the property it was nice but by then I was too spooked to really enjoy the place

Yes it is little off the road. Thanks for reading 🙂

In Pune we are fortunate to have places like Lonavala and Panchagani and Mahabaleswar a few hours drive away. We end up going to the same places each time. Linking up on the very last day minus the prompt. Hopefully will be able to write for the prompt next week.
