Munnar is a beautiful hill station located in the Western Ghats of Kerala. A few days back I wrote about this place and the beautiful places to see. It is worth a visit with your kids and family. Beautiful landscapes, mountains, and the tea plantations surround Munnar.
There are many things which matter when you are travelling with family and kids. For this reason, we always look out for a good place to stay on our vacation.
We heard good reviews about Parakkat nature resort and booked it beforehand based on the online reviews and research. I strongly believe that the place where you are staying with your family makes a huge difference. For us, it was the best decision to stay at this resort.
Parakkat nature resort is started by Mr. Prakash Parakkat, who is famous for his jewellery stores across the world. With this resort, he made a grand entry into the hospitality field. We got a chance to meet him and his son on our visit and it was overwhelming to see them both meeting all their customers and checking about their comfort and making sure everyone had a pleasant stay.
The biggest plus point for us was the courteous and helpful staff who made sure that we were comfortable. The resort also helps in arranging short tours of the city and they have their own tea plantation visit and spice garden visit for the visitors.
They also help to book jeeps and bikes to see other tourist places around Munnar.
Prakkat Nature Resort is located at Pallivasal, 7 km from the center of Munnar.

Why one should stay at Prakkat resorts-
Beautiful location
Large rooms with beautiful view of tea gardens from the balcony
Very courteous and helpful staff
Good food
Scenic natural beauty.
We ‘felt like a family’ during our stay and that is the biggest plus point when you are travelling with kids. Moms prefer places with a good food while travelling with family and this place takes care of that too. Good food and good view make it all worthwhile. There is a beautiful view from the dining area and the terrace of the resort.
I will recommend ‘Prakkat nature resort ‘to anyone travelling to Munnar for great hospitality, beautiful location, and good food.
My review – 4.5/5 stars.

Looks like a nice place to stay. But what does one do in a tea garden? I somehow feel that resorts are very restrictive….. almost like being confined in a beautiful space

They are not at all restrictive and has a lot of options. Much better than staying in a hotel. Thanks.

Wow what a beautiful place! I remember staying in a place like this near Kandy and being in. And around the tea plantations, it was beautiful and so interesting to see.
