What is Virtual education?
A system of education where kids and teachers are connected online and all the instructions and lessons are given online. The students and teachers interact through online methods. It takes care of everything including homework, lesson plans, and even assessments.
I recently came to know about the Pearson Academy which provides virtual K-12 education in India in collaboration with International Connections Academy (iNaCA).
International Connections Academy is a ‘school at home’ with internationally accredited curriculum and professional online teachers.
The best part is that it provides a flexible world-class curriculum for students studying in classes up to class 12. It is going to help students to learn at their preferred pace. Using methods that include various multimedia tools such as enhanced videos, social, adaptive and game-based learning.
It has a 100 percent college acceptance rate. Children attend elite universities such as Yale, UCLA, and Julliard. iNaCA students also score better than their peers across the US on the SAT and ACT college entrance exams, and also beat the global average on AP exams.
Vikas Singh, Managing Director, Pearson India, said, “Education is rapidly evolving in India. Personalized learning and real-time analytics have become essential to help in a child’s holistic development. Having recognized these needs, the iNaCA brings an advanced approach to learning that can help maximize the potential of each student. Our unique curriculum, experienced teachers, and an immersive global classroom experience are designed to address the challenges faced by a student today. It also facilitates his/her progress in the best possible manner.”
Vikas added, “iNaCA enrolls students from more than 50 countries around the world, who have multiple opportunities to interact with one another and share details of their culture.”

What are the extra benefits?
These days it’s not only about studies. Extracurricular activities also play an important role. The opportunities given to them in iNaCa helps students to develop extra-curricular skills. This helps to develop their personalities beyond the classroom in an international setting.
There are online special interest clubs and activities. There are Robotics Club, the Chess Club, Quiz Bowl – with peers from around the world. The academy also offers a U.S. recognized diploma to high-school students. Various colleges and universities, including Harvard University, Cornell University, among others accept it.
