‘A cup of tea makes everything better.’
I am sure many people will agree with me on this but I am not really a tea person. I started drinking tea only after marriage and still cannot have more than two cups of tea daily.
But my recent favorite is Green tea mainly for its health benefits. As a dietitian, I recommend green tea to everyone.
It took me some time to get used to its taste but got used to it and I am now it is like my feel good drink.
There are several types of green teas available in the market. The main difference is about the processing and production.
Initially, I used to get confused on which one to use out of all the varieties. But recently came across an online shopping place called Place of Origin which is India’s first and largest platform for famous local foods. It has large varieties of sweets, snacks, biscuits, dry fruits, pickles, green tea, coffee, and staples. All this is available from all large brands of India.
As I was looking for mainly Green tea, I saw different varieties available online on their website. They have a large selection of Green tea to choose from and all have different health benefits too.
Green tea helps to-
- Reduce blood pressure
- Helps to lose weight
- Reduces cholesterol
- Good for skin
- Rich in Antioxidants
- Manages Diabetes
I was surprised to see the variety available online on their site as they have specialties of almost every state. There are interesting mixes too and was tempted to buy them all. Sharing few with you.
There are Himalayan varieties like-
KANGRA LEAF GREEN TEA & KESARI MANGO
GREEN TEA WITH MINT AND ROSE PETALS
There are Green tea from Assam and West Bengal –
SENCHA GREEN TEA
HANDCRAFTED ORGANIC GREEN TEA WITH MINT
From South India–
This one is my favorite from AUROVILLE (TAMIL NADU)
CHOCOLATE HERBAL TEA
CHENNAI (TAMIL NADU)
JASMINE GREEN TEA
From West India- There are varieties from Pune, Goa, and Mumbai
MUMBAI (MAHARASHTRA)
MIXED BERRY GREEN TEA
TATHAWADE (PUNE)
SPEARMINT TEA
There are so many others which I am surely planning to try soon. Green tea is definitely the healthier option of beverages out of normal tea or coffee.
Place of origin also has local specialties including Shrewsbury Biscuits from Pune, Dharwad Peda, Sandesh from Kolkata and Pachranga from Panipat as well as unique local specialties such as the Chanachur of Bengal, Thokku from Andhra Pradesh, Pinni from Amritsar and so on.
I have decided which ones to order. Did you decide yet?
Disclaimer- This is a sponsored post for Places of Origin but this post is inspired by my experience with different products from their site.

I have heard so much about green tea and its benefits that it’s almost impossible to hate green tea anymore. Though am not a huge fan but still it’s something for which I never say “No”, as it’s so good for health.
I haven’t been reading/blogging lately and am really disappointed with myself for that. Hopefully, I will read ur posts more often now as this is one stop which I really look forward to.

I always trust blogger reviews more than any other reviews.
Now, flavoured Green Tea sounds like something I would want to try, especially the KANGRA LEAF GREEN TEA & KESARI MANGO one. The flavours sound delicious and the packaging is very attractive.
thanks for sharing so much information and so well with us, Deepa.

Yes Mayuri, I also found some of them really interesting with so many flavours with a normal green tea. Glad you liked the review. Thanks for reading 🙂
