How can any mom forget that day?
When we came to know you were on the way.
It was a moment of joy and delight,
As we were ready to welcome you in our lives.
There was an excitement and lot of emotions,
As we were waiting for you in anticipation.
How can any mom forget that day?
When we came to know you were on the way.
You came unannounced and we were unprepared,
It took us time to realise now we were parents.
A new journey just started,
And every time we looked at you our hearts skipped a beat.
How can any mom forget that day?
When we came to know you were on the way.
You were like an angel disguised as a pretty daughter,
I looked at your face and felt that I never thought of.
I held you in my arms that day,
And I knew my life changed forever that day.
First thing that came to my mind when I saw this prompt was ‘Birth of my daughter.’ I am sure many moms will agree with me on this one that nobody can forget that moment when we welcome little angels in our life.
It is a life changing experience with lot of new emotions. It cannot be explained as we enter this new phase with lot of excitement.
I always used to worry if I will be a good mother or not or if I will be able to able to take care of my kids properly or not. But time teaches everything and now that little baby is a teenager and I really wish to revisit those moments of childhood with her cos that day was a special day when she was born. 🙂

Nice post, Deepa. I think every mother has this feeling whether I am a good mom or a bad mom, but I believe, every mom is the greatest. I am sure you are the best mom to your kids. And yes, time is the biggest teacher. It teaches you everything.
