I am a mom,
There are days when I want to run away,
And there are days when I want to hold on.
There are days when my feet stick to the floor,
As there is glue all around.
There are days when kids are always fighting,
And I feel like locking them in a room.
There are days when I can’t find my phone,
And later after searching the full house, find it in the laundry basket.
There are days when my favourite TV show is a cartoon show,
And I don’t mind watching it with my kids.
There are days when I eat all the leftovers,
And feel guilty about it later.
There are days when I am the only one screaming,
And I know nobody is listening.
There are toys left out and clothes on the floor,
And they are still there even you told them to pick up.
But, there are also days when I feel lucky to be a mom,
And I know I cannot trade it for anything else in the world.
There are days when I feel so much love and pride,
And I miss them when they are not around.
There are days when it hasn’t always been easy,
But, I still feel motherhood is the most rewarding.
And the reward is in the form of hugs and kisses,
And when one throws tantrums and one pouts, they are like the little joys of life.
And the laughter, the memories and the look in their eyes, I can never compromise.
I am sure every mom can relate to it. These are thoughts directly from the heart of a mom. Do you think you can relate to it moms?
