It’s About Money Honey!

It’s about money honey, it’s not funny honey,

It controls people, it changes them for good.

It makes them selfish, it shows them the truth.

It’s about money honey, it’s not funny honey,

It can create differences, it can distance you from your buddy,

It leaves you wanting for more if you try to compete with everybody.

It’s about money honey, it’s not funny honey,

It can make you blind, you can’t even see your own life.

It can make you impatient and hurtful as people know your lies.

It’s about money honey, it’s not funny honey!

It’s not everything, it’s not above relations,

It’s important but not worth all the temptations.

It’s about money honey, it’s not funny honey!

It makes a difference to how you feel,

But it is not everything, don’t make it a big deal.

These days it’s very important to make a child “money conscious” but make sure that he is not “money mean” ( A term coined by me for the people who in spite of having lots of money are mean in spending it or sharing it).

As they say, “Do not educate your child to be rich, educate him to be happy so when he grows up, he will know the value of things and not the price.”

These days we are so busy running after money that we leave many things behind which we don’t even realise. One should know a difference between right and wrong. But I think, even if people realise that they are money minded, they keep money above the relations or friendships. I think it’s high time we realise that- “Life is not a competition”. Everybody is fighting their own battle and have a reason to work hard. 

I strongly believe, “Happiness is not about the amount of money you have but about the people in your life and the memories you make with them”.
