Recently Amazon has launched its new campaign – #MomBeAGirlAgain which is about moms who are busy in managing their kids and household. It is a reminder for all the moms to be a girl again and pursue their hobbies and passions once again.
This campaign is also a reminder for all other family members to help her to follow her long-lost passion or dream.
I loved all their ads and it inspired me to write about the same topic on how it is important for all the moms to follow their dreams too. Watch my favourite ad here–
Now as a mother of one teen and one tween, I feel it’s really important to indulge in some self-love and try not to forget yourself in the process of raising kids. Here are some tips from a mom to all other moms to stay young, happy and enjoy-
Start with small things– Choose something small like eating your favourite chocolate, reading a book, going for a run or anything which makes you happy.
Take care of your health- As much as it’s important for you to be there for kids, it’s also important to take care of your own health. Only if you are healthy, you can raise a healthy family. Eat well, exercise daily and go for regular check-ups.
Meet a group of friends- I love this one as for me meeting my bunch of girls is like a recharge. Believe me, “Vitamin F is really important for all of us.” Do go out with friends or just meet them over a cup of tea or coffee as it’s going to refresh you and keep you young.
Think positive– Think of all the blessings in your life and be thankful. Say it to yourself once every day, “I have a sweet family who loves me a lot and I am thankful to God for everything.” I agree that there are crazy times and hard moments but if you see everything as a burden, you will never be happy.
Join hobby classes– We all have something which we love doing – dancing, painting, sports, cooking, singing, music etc. Go join the classes and reinvent the old love. I am sure this is going to bring you lots of joy and you will feel calm too.
Makeover- Indulge in some self-love with various beauty services like manicure, pedicure etc. once in awhile and get yourself new dresses and shoes. For me, actually, a new pair of pretty shoes is enough to cheer me up. 😉
#MomBeAGirlAgain – Join a dance class, go out with friends, pick up an old hobby, pursue your passion, and last but not least- Love yourself. 🙂
As they say, “A happy kid has a joyful mother.” 🙂

Excellent post. The entire points and your intention behind it as well. I loved the Amazon’s Mom be a girl ad and I was thinking about these too. Every year when my Mom’s birthday approaches I think of gifting her some experience that she has been putting of because of us. But since I’m still studying it wasn’t possible. Some time soon 🙂 Keep writing motivating posts like this dear.
