Orlando is a city in the state of Florida in the US. It is famous for theme parks like Disney World, Universal Studios, Lego land, sea world, etc. Florida the sunshine state is a famous tourist place with many beautiful beaches. Orlando is one of the main city in this beautiful state and this theme park capital of the world has many more things to explore. It is also called as the city beautiful and has almost a dozen theme parks.
My memories of Orlando the theme park capital of the world –
Orlando is truly a magical city and it attracts a lot of tourists every year. We visited Orlando, Florida in 2005 Christmas break. As it was holiday time, the city had a special charm to it with some special Christmas decorations. We went to Disney world with our toddler who loved the place and was super excited to see all her favourite characters like Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Of course, the princess castle was one of her favourite and she was not ready to move from there.
The famous Disney parade and fireworks at the end were worth seeing too. Although we were really tired, we stayed back to see the parade and fireworks which starts around 9.30 pm.
Other than that, we saw beaches and sea world. We skipped Universal studios as we already saw it in Los Angeles. The sea world was also pretty similar to the sea world in San Diego but our daughter loved the aquatic animal shows there.
Besides the theme park visit, the highlight of our trip was a visit to the beach and a famous dinner show called medieval times dinner show. It was a fun show with horses, knights and acrobatics and our daughter also enjoyed the live dinner show.
About the city –
It is one of the most visited family destinations and mainly because of so many theme parks and beautiful beaches. This central Florida city attracts is home to the world-famous theme parks, the shopping malls, and the nightlife. Tourists also come to see the beaches as there are beautiful beaches here. It has a tropical humid climate mostly throughout the year.
Orlando the theme park capital of the world has the following parks and attractions –
- Disney land
- Universal studio
- Gator land
- Lego land
- Sea world
- Typhoon Lagoon
- Kennedy space center and many more.
Other than this there are live dinner shows like Pirates, treasure tavern, Disney spirit, the dinner detective and rock dinner shows, etc.
Florida the sunshine state has a special charm to it especially because of all the tourist places to see and explore. One day is not enough to explore Disney world and one must book a 2-3 days trip to explore it completely. I wish to visit it again with my daughters someday. Have you been to Disney World yet?
If you love thrilling rides, roller coasters, and parades, you must visit Orlando the theme park capital of the world. It is a perfect mix of fun, adventure, and excitement.
